“Then he will really be able to come in that direction when he sets off on this trip to Flemington.”
Freedman said Warning, who has a $ 26 chance at TAB, had an opportunity to cause a stir in the Caulfield Cup but said the circuit was a question for the gelding.
“It’s a question, I think he’s best at Flemington,” Freedman said.
“It just depends on the internationals. When they show up at their best, they may be the ones to beat.
“A little yielding in the track brings it straight into the calculations.”
The Bureau of Meteorology’s forecast suggests that Freedman could fulfill his wish with a rain forecast of up to 25mm for Melbourne on Saturday.
