Niermann knows where the difficulties of the Vuelta lie. “The first three stages are three mountain stages,” he says. “At that moment we have to be there immediately. The sixth stage will soon follow. In my opinion that is the Queen stage, given the finish on the Col du Tourmalet. Of course there will be tough stages, but in my opinion the focus of the Vuelta is in the first week. ”
