He explained that his daughter had been sleeping alongside her sister when the shrapnel struck their home.

Kuwait’s Ministry of Health said the 11-year-old died in hospital from her injuries despite efforts by medical teams to save her life.
In a separate statement, the ministry said the girl’s mother and three relatives were also injured and are receiving treatment, confirming that medical care is continuing.
Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti armed forces said the shrapnel fell on a house in a residential area in Kuwait City while the military was intercepting “several hostile aerial targets” over the country’s airspace.
