The confrontations and coalition strikes resulted in the killing and wounding of dozens of terrorist militia members, in addition to the destruction of combat vehicles and crews.
Yesterday, the “Giants Brigades” had taken control of a mountain range overlooking “Hareeb” and on the “Al-Jufra” road in the “Al-Abdiyyah” district, south of Ma’rib.
These developments come within the framework of a large-scale military operation backed by the Coalition to Support Legitimacy launched in early January, and during its first ten days, it managed to liberate three districts in Shabwa Governorate, east of the country, from the control of terrorist militias.
In a development, the Coalition to Support Legitimacy announced the implementation of 14 targets against the Houthi militias in Marib and Al-Bayda during the past 24 hours. The coalition said that the targeting destroyed 9 military vehicles, and killed 50 terrorists.
In another field development, the Yemeni army announced yesterday that it had completed and completely secured the “Ain” district, west of Shabwa governorate.
The media center of the Yemeni armed forces said earlier that the Houthi militia had suffered casualties among the dead and wounded by the army’s fire on the “Haradh” front, north of Hajjah governorate.
The center added that the army artillery destroyed vehicles and combat equipment belonging to the militias on the same front.
Meanwhile, the Yemeni Ministry of Defense revealed that it had obtained shocking information about the execution by the terrorist Houthi militia of its fighters who had withdrawn and refused to fight.
The ministry said that it directed its field units to receive the retreating Houthi fighters, pledging to give them safety in accordance with international norms.
The Yemeni Ministry of Defense confirmed that it will also provide a helping hand and support to the Houthi militias withdrawn if they wish to return to their areas.
In a related context, the Chief of the General Staff of the Yemeni Army, Lieutenant-General Saghir bin Aziz, inspected yesterday the army and tribes forces stationed in the front lines and combat positions south of Ma’rib Governorate. During the visit, the Chief of the General Staff held an extensive meeting with the leadership of the front, the leaders of sub-units and the leaders of groups from the army and tribes.
The Chief of Staff said: “Victory over the Houthi militia has become inevitable and imminent, and it is tangible from the morale and strong steely will rooted in the soul of every patriotic fighter with the necessity of defeating the sectarian project in Yemen and the region.”
The Chief of Staff praised the great and pivotal role of the forces of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, in their victories and advances during the past days.
