A drunken priest in India accidentally killed a man in place of a sacrifice, during the Sankharati festival (a Hindu occasion).

In the details, the accused, called Chalapathi, was supposed to cut off the head of a goat as part of the celebrations marking the Hindu festival of Sankrit, instead, it is alleged that the priest missed his target and cut the throat of Suresh, the 35-year-old man who was carrying the goats.
There were several reports of the victim’s beheading, although photographs purporting to show the deceased Suresh in hospital appeared to refute this.
The horrific accident occurred in Valasapali in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, where local media indicated that the accident was a tragic accident, as United News of India (UNI) reported that Suresh was married with two children.
