The Department of Meteorology at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation expected the weather tomorrow to be cloudy with high and medium clouds, with a limited rise in temperatures that return to their seasonal rates. It was stated in the following bulletin:
– General status: volatile weather over the eastern Mediterranean basin is stable from Monday evening until Wednesday night, as it is gradually affected by an air depression accompanied by cold air masses.
(The average temperature on the coast for the month of January is between 11 and 19 degrees Celsius).
– Expected weather in Lebanon:
Monday: Partly cloudy to cloudy with low temperatures and active winds that lead to the appearance of light layers of dust in the air.
Tuesday: few clouds with high and medium clouds with a limited rise in temperatures that return to their seasonal rates.
Wednesday: A few clouds to partly cloudy with medium clouds, with an additional rise in temperatures, winds are active from the afternoon and the sea waves rise with them, turning at night to cloudy with fog on the heights and the possibility of scattered rain and snow at a height of 1800 meters and above, especially in the northern regions .
Thursday: Cloudy with low temperatures and active winds that raise the sea waves, and fog forms on the heights. Scattered rain falls, it becomes more intense at night, accompanied by thunderstorms and snow at 1700 meters.
– The temperature on the coast is from 10 to 21 degrees, over the mountains from 7 to 16 degrees, in the interior from 6 to 17 degrees.
– Surface wind: active south to southwesterly, speed between 20 and 60 km/hr.
Visibility: moderate, sometimes worse.
– Relative humidity on the coast: between 30 and 65%
