Prince Abdul Rahman bin Musaed commented on the questioning of the former political science professor Turki Al-Hamad about Sahih Al-Bukhari.
Ibn Musaed said, addressing al-Hamad: “Your saying that Sahih al-Bukhari completely contradicts the Qur’an is a very extreme opinion.”
He added: “Most of the Muslim scholars and specialists in the science of hadith see it as the most correct books of hadith, and only a few of them criticized the support of some hadiths, even if we canceled as you demand his book, which contains the authentic hadiths of the Prophet and his Sunnah for our Prophet and his Sunnah more than the drawings.”
Al-Hamad had sparked controversy by saying: “Before criticizing the offensive images of our honorable Messenger, peace be upon him, we have to criticize our heritage that provided the living material for these drawings, the first of which is Sahih Al-Bukhari.”
