A communiqué of the Royal Armed Forces General Command stated that the officials held talks, during which they discussed various aspects of bilateral cooperation in the field of national defense, as well as prospects for their development.

The two officials agreed on military cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries, centered on consolidating common security objectives, especially improving the degree of military readiness, enhancing competencies and developing the interoperability of the forces.

Lodi suggested strengthening military cooperation with the United States, by promoting joint projects to invest in Morocco, in the defense industry sector, in order to stimulate technology transfer and the gradual building of the Kingdom’s strategic independence in this field.
