Donald Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani infected with corona

The 76-year-old Giuliani is currently leading the elected president’s legal battle against alleged electoral fraud – so far without success. Giuliani has been a loyal companion of Trump for years, but has already got the president into trouble several times.

Giuliani, for example, was a central figure in the Ukraine affair, which set off impeachment proceedings against Trump. Giuliani had also actively sought to get Ukraine to investigate Trump’s ultimately victorious challenger Joe Biden.

Giuliani at the center of pardon considerations

Giuliani had recently hit the headlines because he was at the center of possible pardon considerations. Trump could still make extensive use of his right to pardons in his final weeks in office.

As the “New York Times” reports, citing two informed sources, there have recently been discussions between the president and his lawyers about such a step for Trump’s three oldest children Donald Junior, Eric and Ivanka, his son-in-law Jared Kushner and Giuliani.

Unlike in the case of Mike Flynn, who had to answer for his offenses in court, the possible pardons for the Trumps, Kushner and Giuliani would be a preventive measure against possible proceedings in the future. According to the New York Times, Trump recently expressed concern that his successor Joe Biden could take legal action against those people.

According to the report, however, it remains unclear what possible offenses Eric and Ivanka Trump and Giuliani may have been guilty of. With Giuliani, his personal lawyer, Trump is said to have spoken directly about a possible pardon. Giuliani is currently in front of the cameras again and again to spread new, untenable claims about alleged manipulation in the election on November 3rd.
