On a wall, in the muruy bora community, in Iquitos, the Amazonian painter Brus Rubio, together with a group of children, has painted a mural with themes and characters from his people. In Lima, in the 6th block of Avenida Del Ejército, a collective of artists has done the same, a mural with messages to passersby.

With these actions, the BIK Foundation, of the Bedari Kindness Institute of the University of California, United States, celebrates the World Kindness Day. Precisely, these murals, which will be replicated for six months in different cities of Peru, are called “murals of goodness.”

The BIK Foundation is an organization that promotes kindness to fight violence against children and women. On this occasion, it has organized seven free activities to celebrate this day. Access them, go to the foundation’s Instagram account: @FundacionBIK.

According to the program, today begins at 10:30 am with a reflective talk by Viviana de Ferrari. In addition there will be talks, conversations, digital workshops and concrete actions to raise awareness about goodness. One of them, “I read you, I love you”, is a space for digital storytelling with which they have been accompanying children in abandonment and social isolation.

To do this, they have volunteers such as students, mothers, senior citizens, university professors and even personalities such as Carlos Carlín, Javier Echevarría, Ximena Galiano, Isadora Figueroa, among others.

In these digital activities, the chef Ximena Llosa, the coach Viviana De Ferrari, the psychologist Pilar Sordo, the actor and psychologist Javier Echevarría, the singers Nicole Favre and Alejandro Roca Rey, the actress and host Katia Condos, the social entrepreneur Álvaro Henzler, Diana Ibarra, Daniella Núñez, among others.

Recognized educational actors will also be present, such as UCAL rector, Carla Olivieri; and the general director of the UTP, Jonathan Golergant. Likewise, the poet Danna Clark, the actress Attilia Boschetti, the filmmaker Lupe Benites, the psychologist Alejandra Abusada, among other personalities.

In this framework, the children’s story book A kingdom without a crown (Ed. Planeta) by Fortuna Ludmir will be presented.
