The bodies of a mother and her two young children were found in a house in Dublin.

Gardai has cordoned off a property on the Llewelyn Estate in Ballinteer, south Dublin, where the bodies were found.

The victims are a woman, supposedly the mother of the children, and a boy and a girl, both between six and eleven years old, reports the Irish Post.

“Gardaí is currently on the scene of an incident in a residential building in southern Dublin in which the bodies of two children and an adult were discovered,” Garda headquarters told the Irish Times in a statement.

“No further information is currently available.”

Officials allegedly broke into the property after neighbors said they were concerned about the mother and children in the house this morning.

The Irish Times confirmed the woman was married and lived on the property with their children.

News of the tragedy comes just two days after a father and two adult sons were found dead on a farm in an alleged dispute over inheritance funds.

The 59-year-old father and his two sons, ages 22 and 25, were discovered on Monday in Assolas, near Kanturk, County Cork.

The neighbors called the police around 6:30 a.m. to report that a distraught woman said that shots had been fired at her home.

The shootings were linked to simmering tensions over a will and legacy of the 150-acre farm, the Irish Times reported.

Detectives said one of the sons and his mother returned to the family home after taking a break on Sunday evening.

This son was shot dead in his bedroom, according to The Times. The mother, in her 60s, escaped from the house and raised the alarm.

While the police were on their way home, they were told that more gunfire could be heard.
