– It is absolutely hair-raising that we see a so-called serious employer who goes after the shop stewards in a strike. I have no words, says Odd Haldgeir Larsen, deputy leader of the Trade Union (LO) to Klassekampen.
Both of the two main shop stewards from the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions have been laid off with 60 and 40 per cent from their positions, because 60 and 40 per cent of their members have gone on strike.
Both the Trade Union and Industri Energi, both of which are part of LO, have written letters to Securitas and Avarn, respectively, requesting a meeting with the management. The union because they have an agreement on security from Securitas at the head office in Oslo. Industry Energy because Avarn has been hired to be in charge of the guard in the ban’s building in Stavanger.
