The “DreamWorks” film production company, co-founded by director Stephen Spielberg, has celebrated 25 years of successful work by organizing a free exhibition, which opened on Wednesday, in Paris, France.

The company, founded by Steven Spielberg, Geoffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen, in October 1994, produced animation films that have become classics of the genre such as “The Prince of Egypt” (1998), “Shrek” (2001), and “Madagascar” (2005) ), And Trolls (2016).

The exhibition featured hundreds of original drawings, including works by the French painter Niko Marlais, as well as digital drawings, which had never been seen anywhere, according to exhibition organizer Jean-Jacques Launier.

The exhibition allows film enthusiasts, as well as children and their families, to listen to dozens of interviews with artists who have participated in films, and opens a window for them on the scenes of this industry.

Jean-Jacques Lonnier, director of the “R Ludic” museum, explained that if the exhibition is American, it takes on a global character, to a large extent, thanks to the presence of many foreign painters, especially the French, stressing that the “DreamWorks” studios have always been keen on producing Films set in different parts of the world, from China to Madagascar and Egypt.

The exhibition was originally scheduled to open last March, but it was canceled in light of the outbreak of the new Corona virus, and will continue until the eighth of next November, at the “R-Lodic” museum in Paris.

The museum temporarily occupies a building in the seventh arrondissement of Paris, waiting to return in 2021 to its renovated headquarters in the Gare Saint-Lazare area.

After Paris, the exhibition will move to the Voltaire Palace in eastern France from mid-March to mid-June.

“We know a lot of” DreamWorks “films, but we do not know their entire world, and this exhibition is an opportunity to discover the people behind our favorite films, Launier said.

The exhibition ends with a section devoted to reinterpreting stories and myths, a topic that studios take on great importance and have used them in many of their films.
