The spokesman for the Libyan army, Ahmed Al-Mesmari, announced that “Turkey is transferring Syrian and non-Syrian terrorists from Libya to Azerbaijan.”
Al-Mismari said during a press conference on Facebook, reported by Al-Hadath TV channel, Thursday, that “extremist groups are controlling airports in the west of the country.”
He also stressed that “we have a very serious security threat in the west of the country.”
To that, he added, “tens of thousands of Syrian and non-Syrian mercenaries were transferred to Libya via Mitiga and Misurata airports.”
Al-Mismari showed pictures that he said was the corpse of Abu Abdullah al-Rubai al-Tikriti, the leader of “ISIS” in North Africa, who was killed on September 14.
He also pointed out that “ISIS is benefiting from some of its supporters in Tripoli.”
