The UAE, which has been keen to provide support and medical assistance to countries fighting the spread of the coronavirus, recently dispatched a cargo plane to Ukraine with 11 tons of medical supplies on board which will benefit about 10,000 medical workers in their fight against the virus.
“The delivery of aid by the UAE to Ukraine comes as an initiative with the countries that are tackling the new spread of the coronavirus and showing solidarity with those who face unprecedented challenges such as the one the world is witnessing now with the spread of the virus,” UAE Ambassador to Ukraine Salem Ahmed Salem Al-Kaabi.
He added that this assistance will enable medical personnel to perform their duty in combatting the spread of virus in the country.
