Indian expat Shivamurthy Gali Krishnappa has hit the Dhs 12 million Big Ticket jackpot in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.
Krishnappa who lives in Sharjah, bought the ticket on February 17. His ticket number was 202511
Big Ticket said on its Facebook page, “Congratulations to Shivamurthy Gali Krishnappa, from India, with winning ticket no. 202511. He won Dhs12 Million in The Dream 12 Million series 225.”
It was learned that Krishnappa was watching the draw live at his home.
The ecstatic Krishnappa sprang from chair when Big Ticket host Richard phoned him, immediately identifying the phone number.
Last month, Indian woman based in Qatar Thasleena Puthiya Purayil won the Dhs15 million Big Ticket jackpot in Abu Dhabi.
Thasleena who lives in Doha bought the winning ticket online.
Thasleena, who hails from Kerala, took home the mega prize amid pandemic.
Thasleena told Big Ticket officials that she brought the ticket for the first time.
In Qatar, Thasleena and her husband Abdul Gaddaf run a chain of restaurant and their business is doing quite well.
The happy couple has 3 children, a son who is studying in a University in Dubai, daughter and an infant.
