Apple unveils new features for its music service

“Today we focus on two important areas: music and the Mac,” said Apple CEO Tim Cook, during today’s conference at Apple Park. “AirPods are one of the most iconic music products we’ve ever created.

Cook said all of his devices have great sound quality, working across the entire line of their speaker devices. “This fall, we’re taking the Apple music experience even further,” Cook said.

He noted that Siri has been updated with new Apple Music playlists for moods and activities, such as “Dinner Party” and “Bedtime Relax,” where Siri can play new playlists based on natural language queries.

Cook revealed that the new Apple Music “Voice Plan” subscription for voice-only use is $4.99 per month, and is available in 17 countries and regions starting this fall.

Noting that “Voice” is one person only, works only with Siri but on all Apple devices.
