Man who took a photo next to Maradona’s body turned himself in to the police

The photo of Diego Molina, in which he poses with his thumb up next to the body of Diego Armando Maradona, went viral on social networks and generated a great repudiation. Last night, the funeral home employee who had not yet been found, turned himself in to justice. He did it at the City’s 15 Communal Police Station, located in Chacarita.

According to police sources, Molina appeared “accompanied by his trusted lawyer” at said office, “on the night of Friday, November 27. [por ayer]”.

They added that the 24 Misconduct Prosecutor’s Office was consulted, which ordered that the man be asked for “his affiliate information and contact telephone numbers.”

Molina took the image when preparing the body for the wake and it was not the only one that circulated. There was one more, with two other employees who are father and son. The first of them apologized to the family to the followers of Maradona and also to the funeral home, claiming that someone else took the photo in a surprising way.

The Pinier Sepelios house, in La Paternal, was in charge of the wake. One of the owners, in dialogue with LA NACION, explained that the images were taken “two minutes that were left alone” and maintained that none of the three men was an employee of the firm, but that they were hired “to take the materials to the chapel burning”.

For its part, at the Argentinos Juniors club, where Maradona debuted at the dawn of what would be a hyper-successful football career, they reported that the Board of Directors raised to the Institution’s Disciplinary Court “the request for expulsion as a member of the person who photographed next to the coffin of Diego Armando Maradona “. That person they are referring to is Molina.
