The PS5 will be back in stock on Black Friday 2020
If you didn’t manage to buy the PS5 when you launched, don’t give up hope just yet. It is likely that many stores are holding back inventory for Black Friday, and some retailers have even confirmed Black Friday availability. GameStop is one of those stores. The game retailer will only have PS5 items in store on Black Friday. All stores will have at least two PS5 devices available when they open at 7 a.m. local time on November 27. However, don’t expect them to have much more than that. We recommend that you check with your local store for Black Friday PS5 availability beforehand. We also informed GameStop about the availability of PS5 Digital on Black Friday and will be reporting on it.
Walmart will also only have the PS5 in stock online on Black Friday, although there is no exact replenishment time yet. If something goes on this week, Walmart will be announcing exactly when to buy the PS5 on Black Friday, as the day approaches. Walmart’s Black Friday ad is divided into three main parts, and the third part, which contains the main Black Friday deals and game deals, has not yet been released. Hopefully it should shed some light on Walmart’s Black Friday PS5 replenishment plans.
PlayStation Direct had a queue earlier today on its website but all PS5 units are sold out from Friday night. The page says: “Check availability on November 14th”. So it looks like there may be more PS5 items available on Saturday.
Best buy has confirmed that there will be no PS5 units in stores for the entire holiday season so you won’t see the PS5 in a brick and mortar Best Buy store until 2021. Although the PS5 appears on Best Buy’s Black Friday ad, the retailer would not confirm Black Friday availability for GameSpot, saying that inventory will be available on BestBuy.com when it receives more units.
Of course, you can always find the PS5 and its accessories on reseller sites like StockX and Ebay, but you will likely pay hundreds over MSRP for the console. Resale prices on StockX are currently between $ 800 and $ 900. However, you can place bids to buy the console for less. The site has a lot of stock. So if you are desperate, it is a good idea to see if you can negotiate a reasonable price.
