This week Gearbox and Counterplay Games released the launch trailer for Godfallwhich will be available not only on PS5 but also on PC when it releases on November 12th. At the time of publication, there wasn’t a word about the game on other platforms, which led many to believe that it was and is a console that is exclusive to the PS5, but has a limited-time exclusivity. At the end of the trailer there is a small print in which it is noted that the game “will only be available on other consoles from May 12, 21”. In other words, it’s a six-month timed console that’s exclusive to the PS5.
Now it is worth noting that this is all that the text reveals. No other platforms are mentioned. As far as we know, it’s coming to Google Stadia and that’s it. Furthermore, the phrase “at least” indicates that the waiting time can be more than six months. Typically, however, the game will migrate to other platforms as soon as possible after a console exclusivity period has expired.
As for the game itself, Godfall is a looter slasher set in a fantasy universe full of heroic knights and arcane magic.
“Go on an adventure in a fantasy action role-playing game that takes advantage of effective hand-to-hand combat with third parties to engage players in the hunt for prey, put on legendary armor sets, and defeat vicious enemies,” reads an official game board. “Take on challenging missions that will reward you with dazzling loot as you defeat the armies that stand against you.”
