Scalpers Strike Again, Ryzen 5000 processors not in stock

Ryzen 5000 is the hit of the month with its impressive performance and insane gaming potential, and it seems like everyone wants a piece of Zen 3 pie with the new processors on sale today. Unfortunately, scalpers stole the show again and bought as much volume as possible, and availability for Ryzen 5000 series CPUs is almost impossible to find.

The scalpers are again using eBay as the basis for their business activities and have pushed the prices for CPUs of the 5000 series well above the MSRP.

According to Ebay, you can buy the Ryzen 9 5950X for a ridiculous $ 1,699.99 from one of the various offers. “Thankfully,” most 5950X offerings are “more reasonable” and range from $ 1,050 to $ 1,200.

When you buy the Ryzen 9 5900X, the most expensive deals hit the $ 1,000 mark, while most are in the $ 800 to $ 900 range. The cheapest listing we found is $ 612 for a pre-ordered model. That’s not bad considering it’s only a $ 63 price hike.

For the Ryzen 7 5800X, most offerings are around the 600 and 700, with some only costing 455 and 500 dollars.

For Ryzen 5 5600X offerings, average prices range from $ 400 to $ 500. Some come in at just $ 350.

Fortunately, AMD has announced that it will be working with retailers to fight scalpers and buy bots. Hopefully the scalper invasion will be short-lived and inventory will return to normal. The last thing we need is another disaster like the RTX 3080 scalper mess when this card launched.
