No No, twice no. Check out the trailer for visage and see what we mean. These are some scary stories to be told in the openness of dark style that we will hopefully never boot on our Xbox One. face is now available on Xbox One and PS4, while it has been available on Steam for a while on PC.

So Visage is cracking Halloween fodder, and although we wouldn’t personally say we are enjoy The trailer certainly has some impressive PT-like sensations that will make it a highlight.

For reasons not entirely clear in the press materials, you are locked in a haunted house where countless people have died in horrific ways. Your dark spirits remain, and they have pending deals on the Vengeance variety and will not give you a break. You will be chased through corridors and pursued by your own consciousness to claim your fear.

This is one of the cleaner, more innovative parts of Visage: you will often die in the mansion, but the only way to fail completely is to indulge in fear. We are curious to see how this mechanic develops or whether it is just smoke and mirrors. According to the Steam Score of 90% (Visage has already launched on Steam) it looks like it has some capabilities.

The trailer also shows another innovative side: reality will break and warp as you navigate the villa. The rooms are transformed into Escher paintings, while others fall apart when you look at them. It looks like this puts you less control of which is all you need when the girl from Ringu is chasing you.

Let’s hope Visage brings something like Silent Hill to Xbox One. We are well owed.

• Surroundings – The game is set in a huge house where terrible things have happened. You wander through the gloomy corridors, explore every dead space and lose yourself in endless labyrinths. Your head fills with memories of the dead families who once lived in this house. This twisted environment, where there is no other life than yours, leads you to places you can’t even imagine.
• action – This house is tainted with a terrible past. Families were brutally murdered by their own family members, people went mad, many committed suicide, and other gruesome events occurred. In each room its story is painted on an invisible canvas. As a player, you will relive parts of this dark past and each of its fragments will make you restless and frightened. You will soon wish you could join the ranks of the dead in their abyss, but death will not help you leave this place. Will you run away or will you try to uncover the truth behind the shadows?
• Dark entities – The families who died in the house will haunt you and make you uneasy. They will track your every move, watch you from every corner, play tricks with your mind and try to attack you. Why are they chasing you? What have you done? You have to find out for yourself.
• Style of play – In Visage you are defenseless; No weapon could save you from the terrible beings that chase you from the next corner, the next door or under your feet. You can pick up on key elements, interact with the surroundings, and look for things that can help you escape this nightmare or pull you deeper into it. Dying is part of the game. You must avoid terror at all costs as it attracts dark beings. If you keep your mind as sane as possible, you will not be able to join the ranks of the dead. This will not be easy and you will need to find ways how to stay in the light so as not to go crazy.

Visage is now available on Xbox One and will cost you £ 29.24. It’s also available on PS4 while it was released a few months ago on PC via Steam. We’ll play this with a light on and a comfort blanket before we give you a rating. Look out for it.
