Apple released the first developer beta of macOS Big Sur 11.0.1, although macOS 11 Big Sur hasn’t even been released to the public yet. This comes as rumors of a potential Apple event that will be circulating sometime in November.

Two weeks ago, Apple released MacOS 11 Big Sur Beta 10 for developers and continued to focus on making bug fixes and performance improvements to the operating system before general release.

Rumor has it that a special event is scheduled for November 17th where Apple could unveil its first Apple Silicon Mac. One likely possibility is that Apple is holding back the release of macOS Big Sur 11.0 through Apple Silicon, much like it did with iOS 14.1 earlier this month, which could help prevent leaks.

macOS 11 Big Sur is a major update for the Mac that includes a completely redesigned user interface, a brand new messaging application, a brand new control and notification center, and much more. You can get the full coverage of 9to5Mac from what’s new in macOS Big Sur:
