Samsung started rollout for security patches this month with the affordable Galaxy A50 last week. Within a few days of this release, some of the recently S Pen clad flagships will be upgraded to the latest Android security level. In addition to their international variants, the US Note20 and Note10 series received the October update, starting with the unlocked models.
An OTA update has already reached the Galaxy Note20 Ultra, Note20, Note10 + and the Note10 in the USA. Currently, only the unlocked models get the build. However, given Samsung’s performance over the past several months, you can expect the Carrier variants and other Galaxy phones to follow suit soon. Given the limited information currently available, we can’t really say what else these updates bring to the table other than the new patches.
Below are all of the Samsung phones in the US that were patched as of October 2020. The latest additions to the list are highlighted in bold.

To check if the update is ready to download on your device, you can go to Settings> Software update. If you still don’t see an update notification, you’ll need to wait for these deployed rollouts to reach you.
