Ivan Jovanovic has been dismissed as UAE manager despite not having taken charge of the first-team for a match, it was confirmed on Monday.
The Football Association announced the news on their social media accounts, thanking the Serbian for his time spent in the role. Jovanovic was appointed as Bert van Marwijk’s successor only in December.
The FA, whose new national-team committee recommended the former Al Nasr manager’s contract be terminated, will begin the search for a new manager immediately, saying they would sign a successor in the “coming period.”
