Thank you for reading the news about OFFICIAL: El-Gouna seal signing of Nkana FC forward Idris Mbombo and now with the details
Dubai - Yasmine El Tohamy - El-Gouna have sealed the signing of Nkana FC forward Idris Mbombo to replace the departure of Walter Bwalya to Al Ahly.
Bwalya had joined the Red Devils earlier this month following a successful one-and-a-half season spell with El-Gouna.
In order to make up for his departure, El-Gouna headed once again to Nkana FC – the same club who sold them Walter Bwalya – to also sign a Congolese striker in Idris Mbombo.
Born in Lubumbashi, DR Congo, Mbombo kicked off his career at hometown Kabwe Warriors, before making a big move to Zambian giants ZESCO United FC in December 2015.
Less than two years later, his performances attracted Saudi side Al Shabab, who signed him for a reported fee of €250,000, loaning him to Albanian side KF Laçi and Zambia’s Nkana FC, after he struggled to make an impact for them.
Sudanese giants Al Hilal have then came for him, but he left just less than one year later on a free transfer for a second stint with Nkana FC, where he plays since July 2019.
Idris Mbombo, 24, has now agreed to join Egypt’s El-Gouna, https://twitter.com/GounaFC/status/1349454763704913924 and becoming their first winter signing.
El-Gouna have had an impressive start to the season as they currently sit third on the Egyptian Premier League table just behind Cairo giants Al Ahly and Zamalek.
They are yet to lose a game after playing six times and will hope to carry on this form when they host Ittihad of Alexandria on Wednesday, January 13.
