Dubai - Yasmine El Tohamy - TP Mazembe sporting director Frederic Kitengie has confirmed that Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca and their forward Ben Malango are set to be sanctioned by FIFA.
Malango joined Raja Casablanca from TP Mazembe last summer on a free transfer as the Congolese forward’s agent claimed his contract with the latter had expired.
However, Mazembe kept refuting that there was a year left in Malongo’s contract as the club’s sporting director Frederic Kitengie released a statement on Thursday, saying that both Raja Casablanca and Malango will receive sanctions.
According to Kitengie’s statement, Malango is set to be sanctioned by FIFA for breach of contract as Raja Casablanca violated FIFA’s regulations when they signed the player.
Since joining Raja Casablanca, Malango has made 20 appearances for the Moroccan club, scoring seven goals and assisting another three in all competitions.
