In the FA Cup, the Carabao Cup and the Europa League, Romero has deposited most of his minutes and that was enough to keep the 96-time international in the picture for his country.
In fact, no goalkeeper has made more international appearances for Argentina than Romero, but he has not played internationally since 2018 due to a lack of action.
