Thank you for reading the news about Zamalek discuss possibility of signing Ramadan Sobhi and now with the details
Dubai - Yasmine El Tohamy - Zamalek board member, Ahmed Mortada Mansour, revealed if they could sign Ramadan Sobhi and gave updates regarding Sassi’s contract renewal.
Ramadan Sobhi recently shocked the Egyptian football scene when Al Ahly announced the player’s desire to join league rivals Pyramids FC.
Additionally, his parent club, Huddersfield Town, confirmed that the 23-year-old isn’t a part of the club’s plans in the upcoming season. As a result he had many suitors, including Al Ahly arch rivals Zamalek.
Even though a move to the White Castle seems improbable due to Huddersfield’s high financial demands, Mansour isn’t ruling out signing Sobhi.
“We might be able to sign Ramadan Sobhi, Abdallah El-Said nearly joined us.
We’re in the era of professional football, one does not have to stay in his boyhood club,” he told Al-Nahar TV channel.
Mansour the went to discuss if they could extend Ferjani Sassi’s contract as the Tunisia international is set to leave the club in June 2021.
“We want to keep Ferjani, if he wants to stay then we have no problems but if he chooses to leave, we can’t force a player to stay,” he continued.
Zamalek have already renewed the contracts of their center back duo Mahmoud Alaa and Mohamed Abdelghani.
“In Kahraba’s case, we started negotiations and even offered him to move to Al Ahly if he didn’t want to stay but he chose to flee,” he concluded.
Zamalek recently announced that FIFA had ordered Kahraba to pay 33 million EGP to the Whites after breaching his contract and fleeing the club.
