Former Egypt national team goalkeeping coach, Zaky Abdelfattah, said that Egyptian Premier League side Al Ahly have never contacted Bob Bradley for a possible managerial role.

Abdelfattah was in Bob Bradley’s coaching staff when the latter was in charge of the Egyptian national team between 2011 and 2014.

The Egyptian has followed Bradley in most of his managerial roles and is currently with him at LAFC in the MLS.

It was recently rumored that Al Ahly started negotiations with Bradley, something Abdelfattah denied during an interview with OnTime Sports TV.

“Al Ahly’s board is very professional compared to any other club in Egypt and so is Bob Bradley. That’s why the will never contact a manager who has a contract with another team,” he said.

Abdelfattah then talked about his dispute with Ibrahimovic, when the Swede played for their city rivals Los Angeles Galaxy.

“Ibrahimovic is a very difficult person, I remember at the end of one game against us he broke one of our players face.

“The player was on his way to show the referee what happened and how he didn’t given a foul. I thought that he was going to have an altercation with the referee so I ran towards him.

“Ibrahimovic thought that the player wanted to fight with him so I grabbed his hand so he insulted me and I insulted him back.

“Los Angeles Galaxy’s manager was a former player of mine and after the game he came into our dressing room to scold me so I threw him out because he agreed with what Ibrahimovic did,” he concluded.

LAFC were drawn in Group D as the MLS announced the tournament’s new form this season due to the COVID-19 outbreak, along with the Houston Dynamo, LA Galaxy and Portland Timbers.

Their upcoming match will be at home against the Houston Dynamo next Tuesday at 2AM Cairo time,
