Egypt’s national handball team have qualified for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo following their victory over Tunisia in the Africa Handball Championship final.

The Pharaohs beat Tunisia 27-23 on Sunday to claim the 2020 Africa Men’s Handball Championship title.

After a strong first half where Egypt came out on top 15-11, they extended their lead to overcome Tunisia in the second half by a four-goal margin.

Egypt have now booked their place in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, set to begin in the summer.

Meanwhile, Tunisia will head to the 2020 Olympics Qualification Tournament’s second group as they will be joined by France, Croatia, and Portugal.
