Thank you for reading the news about Sayed Abdel-Hafiz: Winning against Etoile du Sahel is our only choice and now with the details

- Yasmine El Tohamy - Al Ahly director of football Sayed Abdel-Hafiz stated that a victory over Etoile du Sahel and Sudanese side Al Hilal is their only choice to book their spot in CAF Champions League quarter-finals.

The Red Devils are currently third in Group B of the CAF Champions League with seven points after four games played.

They have only two games remaining in the group stages against Etoile du Sahel and Al Hilal who are ahead of Al Ahly with nine points each.

“We have no choice other than winning over both Etoile du Sahel and Al Hilal,” Abdel-Hafiz told reporters. “North Africa matches are always the hardest, however, we will do our best to stay focused.

“Concentrating on matches and working hard to achieve positive results is the most important thing at the moment.

“Even though we have 11 injured players , we still have substitutes that we trust and this shouldn’t affect the fact that we must win,” he added.

Al Ahly host Etoile du Sahel on Sunday at the Al-Salam Stadium as they look to revive their hopes of qualification for the knockout stages. Kick-off takes place at 19:00 CLT.
