Arsenal stars were enjoying their return to training, now 81 days since they last played in the Premier League.

On that day, March 7, Alexandre Lacazette's goal 12 minutes from time lifted the Gunners up to ninth place in the Premier League, five points behind Chelsea in fourth.

Arsenal players, including Lacazette, Mesut Ozil and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, worked out at their training ground at London Colney and seem to be looking forward to football resuming.

Clubs began training in small groups last week and will vote later on Wednesday on whether to move to the second phase of 'Project Restart' which would allow players to resume close-contact training.

The league was shut down in March due to the coronavirus pandemic. The league hopes to resume the 2019/20 season with matches from June 8.
