Anwar Gargash, diplomatic advisor to the President of the UAE, said today, Tuesday, that Abu Dhabi and Paris will sign important agreements when President Emmanuel Macron visits Dubai on December 3.
“I don’t want to spoil the Christmas gift with the president,” he explained in response to a question about whether Abu Dhabi would buy French-made “Rafale” fighters.
He added, “This is an excellent relationship and various agreements will be signed. After the president’s visit, the relationship will be broader in various fields.”
On Friday, a statement from the Elysee Palace said that Macron will travel to the Gulf region on an official visit that includes Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE between the third and fourth of December.
