Saudi Arabia is preparing for the stage of receiving vaccines for "emerging corona" (Covid-19), by launching facilities for handling medical materials at the Sal Shipping Station in the Model Cargo Village at King Khalid International Airport in the capital, Riyadh, which aims to store vaccine doses and enable their transportation. 

The Minister of Transport, Saleh Al-Jasser, inaugurated the special facilities at the station, which contains 13 refrigerated warehouses designated for perishable shipments, and for medical supplies coming to Riyadh.

The total area of ​​the facilities for the shipments of medicines and perishable materials is 5 thousand square meters, while the area of ​​the new refrigerated areas is 3 times the previous area, and the project contains four gates, three of which are for perishable materials and one for medical materials, and the daily capacity for handling in the refrigerated areas reaches to 150 trucks.

In terms of statistics, the Ministry of Health announced yesterday (Wednesday) the registration of 326 new cases of the “emerging corona” virus that causes “Covid-19”, while 476 additional recoveries and 14 new deaths were recorded.

According to the health statistics, the total number of cases cumulatively since the first case in the Kingdom has reached 356067 cases, of which 5455 are active cases who are still receiving the necessary health care, and 724 are critical cases, while the total cases of recovery reached 344,787 cases, while the death toll rose to 5825. A death case.
