The Minister Plenipotentiary at the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Fahd Al-Mansouri, announced the death of Ambassador Al-Khamsi, saying, “I go to the mercy of God Almighty on Tuesday morning, my brother, my colleague and friend, Ambassador Maneh al-Khamsi, the ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Chile, may God have mercy on him, and I will dwell in the supreme paradise of heaven, God Amen.”
The Saudi ambassador to Tajikistan, Abdulaziz bin Muhammad Al-Badi, mourned his colleague Al-Khamsi late on Tuesday, saying, “I go to the mercy of God Almighty my brother and my colleague Dr. Mane Al-Khamsi, ambassador # Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in # Chile. I ask God to provide him with the fullness of his mercy and to dwell in him in his spaciousness, and to inspire his family with patience and solace.
Al-Khamisi was sworn in before King Salman bin Abdulaziz, last January, before submitting in July a copy of his credentials to the Director-General of Protocols at the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Marta Chalhoub, ambassador to the Republic of Chile.
On November 5, Ambassador Al-Khamsi presented his credentials as ambassador to the Republic of Chile (Extraordinary Commissioner) to the President of the Republic, Sebastián Pinera, in a private ceremony that took place at the presidential palace of Lamoneda in the Chilean capital, Santiago.
