The Saudi monarch directed to send relief aid to Turkey

Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz directed the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center to send urgent medical and humanitarian aid to the earthquake victims in Turkey.

Saudi sources indicated that “the Saudi monarch’s initiative comes to help the brothers in Turkey, as a result of the earthquake that struck the Aegean Sea recently, causing severe material damage to the state of Izmir.”

The sources added, “This also comes out of King Salman’s keenness to stand by the brotherly Turkish people and mitigate the effects of the earthquake, which caused heavy losses in lives and property, and an extension of the Kingdom’s humanitarian role by standing with the affected people, in various crises and tribulations.”

Last Friday, an earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale hit the Aegean Sea, affecting western regions of Turkey, especially Izmir, which suffered more damage than other Turkish states.
