The Saudi Electricity Company announced that the project team for the construction of the fourteenth power plant, PP14, which is under the direct management of the Saudi Electricity Company for Project Development, has succeeded in completing 32 million safe working hours without loss of life or bodily injury.
The company confirmed that this new achievement, which is counted for the station’s team, came as a result of the continuous awareness programs and intensive safety workshops approved in the “Saudi Electricity”, noting that the project completed this achievement at the end of last October, with the efforts of its national staff without any accidents. It may result in loss of life, bodily injury, health or environmental damage, property damage, or even interruption of operations.
The head of the engineering sector at the Saudi Electricity Company for Projects Development, Eng. Abdul Rahim Al-Harbi, affirmed the sector’s commitment to the “Saudi Electricity” policy, in applying occupational health and safety requirements and standards in projects. To preserve the lives of workers and perform business with high professionalism, to accomplish them according to the standards of local and international regulations with approved timelines.
It is noteworthy that “Saudi Electricity” has a safety, health and environment management system that enables it to set goals and review them periodically, by assessing and reviewing risks, and by familiarizing contractors and suppliers dealing with them with the systems and policies in force in the company.
