Saudi “ACWA Power” reviews its portfolio of projects in the field of renewable energy and water desalination. As part of its participation in the twenty-second session of the Water, Energy and Environmental Technology Exhibition (WETEX 2020), which is held this year.
In contrast to its previous sessions, WETEX 2020 will be held virtually via the Internet, and will be the first three-dimensional and carbon-neutral exhibition in the sectors of water, energy, sustainability and innovation in the Middle East and Africa.
Through a three-dimensional virtual interactive platform, ACWA Power displays this year its portfolio of projects that have set records, and played a pivotal role in reducing renewable energy tariffs and providing new opportunities in energy efficiency and water production.
The most prominent projects that will be exhibited at the “ACWA Power” pavilion at the exhibition include the “Shuaa Energy 1” project (the second phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Energy Complex), “Noor Energy 1” (the fourth phase of the complex), and the “Shuaa Energy 3” project. Which is the latest project won by ACWA Power within the fifth phase of the complex, in addition to the Umm Al Quwain Independent Water Desalination Project and the Al Taweelah desalination project, which is the largest desalination project in the world.
