This comes while the Board of Directors of the General Grain Corporation held its 189th meeting, headed by the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, and the Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, Eng. Abdul Rahman Al-Fadhli.

Engineer Al-Fadhli stressed the importance of the role the corporation plays, especially in the field of importing wheat and barley to cover local demand and buying local wheat, in addition to supporting strategic storage, which is the cornerstone in the field of food security, indicating that the corporation has successfully completed the first phase of privatizing the milling sector in the Kingdom. Work is currently underway to complete the second and final phase, which is expected to be completed at the beginning of the next fiscal year.
