French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian started today his two-day official visit to Algeria.
The Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement: The visit is an opportunity to assess the progress made in bilateral cooperation, which has been characterized in recent months by embodying important benefits similar to the holding of the sixth session of the Algerian-French Joint Economic Committee in Algeria on March 12th.
This visit will also allow – the statement adds – to “exchange views on regional and international issues of common interest, especially the situation in Western Sahara, the financial file, the situation in the Sahel region, as well as the crisis in Libya, whose settlement will be the core of the talks between the two parties.”
