HODEIDAH, Yemen — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center on Sunday launched an urgent relief campaign for those affected by torrential rains and floods in the Yemeni governorates of Lahj and Hodeidah, in cooperation with the Benevolence Coalition for Humanitarian Relief.
As part of the aid campaign, tents, blankets and rugs are being distributed to the families who have lost their shelters due to the rains and torrential floods in the two governorates.
The campaign aims to benefit 145 families and 870 individuals, including 100 families and 600 individuals in Hodeidah, and 45 families and 170 persons in Lahj governorate, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
It is noteworthy that the KSRelief carried out urgent relief interventions during the past week and during the blessed Eid Al-Adha holiday to help those affected by the floods in Marib, Hajjah and Saada. Thousands of affected families benefited from the aid campaign.
The aid provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSRelief, is part of the third phase of emergency aid distribution in the governorates of Ma'rib, Hodeidah, Hajjah, Saada and Lahj.
