Hind Al Soulia - Riyadh - ABU DHABI — The United Arab Emirates said Wednesday that Iranian attacks have killed two military personnel and six civilians and wounded 158 others since the start of the US-Iran war late last month.
In a statement, the Ministry of Defense said air defense systems intercepted 13 ballistic missiles and 27 drones launched from Iran on Wednesday alone.
The ministry added that since Feb. 28, UAE air defenses have intercepted a total of 327 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles and 1,699 drones targeting the country.
The developments come as the United States and Israel continue a joint offensive on Iran that began on Feb. 28, which has reportedly killed around 1,300 people, including senior Iranian leadership figures.
