Hind Al Soulia - Riyadh - DUBAI — A concourse at Dubai International Airport (DXB) sustained minor damage on Saturday injuring four workers as Iran launched missiles toward the UAE and other countries in retaliation for US and Israeli strikes.
Dubai Airports said in a post on X that the damage occurred in an incident that was quickly contained.
“Emergency response teams were immediately deployed and are managing the situation in coordination with the relevant authorities,” the statement said.
Four staff members were injured and received prompt medical attention.
Due to contingency plans already in place, most terminals had been cleared of passengers before the incident, according to the Dubai Media Office.
Reports indicated the damage occurred at Terminal 3, with some outlets citing a possible missile strike.

The escalation followed a volley of US and Israeli strikes earlier in the day. Iran responded by firing missiles toward the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan and Kuwait.
Several of those countries closed their airspace to commercial traffic, bringing air travel across large parts of the Middle East to a standstill. Many regional airlines halted operations.
According to FlightAware data, Emirates canceled 492 flights, Flydubai canceled 329, and Etihad Airways canceled 212 flights on Feb. 28.
US President Donald Trump later confirmed that the strikes killed several senior Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
