The National Center for Wildlife Development interacted with the complaints of the people in some areas of the “baboons”, which have become a threat to the residents of these areas and their homes.

During his meeting with the “Al-Rased” program on the “Al-Ekhbariya” channel, the CEO of the center, Dr. Muhammad Qurban, confirmed that there is a special program for baboons, with experts from different countries such as the United States, South Africa, India and Canada.

He added that there are farmers complaining that their agricultural production has been affected by monkeys, stressing that the National Center for Wildlife Development is seeking to respond to them.

For his part, Director of the Wildlife Conservation Department at the center, Ahmed Al-Bouq, confirmed that there are 6 regions suffering from monkeys in the Kingdom, namely Najran, Jazan, Asir, Al Baha, Makkah and Madinah, noting that the center does not have a “Moses stick” to solve a problem formed on Over 4 decades in a year and a half.

He stressed the need for cooperation between the center and the concerned authorities in the affected areas and to raise the awareness of their residents in order to reduce the severity of the problem.
