The verdict also included not convicting him of the accusations of bribery attributed to him, and the Public Prosecutor’s request was received to punish him for the two charges of bribery and to release him from these charges, according to the Saudi newspaper Al-Madina.

The Court of Appeal, in consideration of the defendant’s health conditions and status, suspended the implementation of part of the prison sentence imposed on him based on Article 214 of the Law of Criminal Procedure, and ratified the ruling on the private right of two citizens whose ex-wives had a forbidden relationship with the former judge, as the verdict included 15 days imprisonment for each special right.

The Public Prosecution accused the former judge of being a public servant (a judge at the General Court in Makkah) who committed the crime of bribery in violation of one of the duties of his job, and of having illegal relations with women who requested divorce.
