Cairo, December 9/WAM/Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received today Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid.
Ambassador Bassam Rady, Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency, said that the meeting dealt with aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields, in addition to issues of common interest on the regional and international arenas, especially the Palestinian issue.
The Egyptian President affirmed that Egypt will continue its efforts to achieve a comprehensive and just peace in the Middle East on the basis of the two-state solution and the references of international legitimacy, in a way that achieves security and stability and opens prospects for cooperation and development for all the peoples of the region, referring in this regard to Egypt’s efforts for reconstruction in the Gaza Strip, as well as Egypt’s continuation For its efforts related to preventing the outbreak of tension between the Palestinian and Israeli sides.
