The Japanese Broadcasting Corporation (NHK) reported that at least 6 people were injured as a result of the earthquake that struck the capital, Tokyo, and its surroundings, ruling out a “tsunami” as a result of the quake.

The authority indicated, quoting data from civil defense men, that “4 people were injured in Chiba Prefecture, located in the Kanto region.”

And she added, “Several train cars derailed at a branch in the Adachi district of Tokyo, injuring at least two people.”

And she continued, “The driver of the train pressed the brakes and came due to the earthquake, and as a result, several cars derailed, but they did not overturn,” while all passengers were evacuated from the train.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located on the borders of Tokyo and Chiba Prefectures, and its epicenter was at a depth of 80 km. No tsunami threat was announced.
