Palmeiras and Ramires decide to terminate the contract by mutual agreement

Palmeiras announced earlier today (27) that it had terminated the contract with Ramires by mutual agreement. Hired last year, the midfielder never managed to establish himself and had a very worn relationship, especially with the fans.

Ramires recently contacted the board to discuss the possibility of terminating the contract, citing particular reasons. Since then, the parties have negotiated and reached an agreement this afternoon. He has not yet defined what his next career move will be.

People in the club also understood that Ramires’ image was scratched and the performance on the field was not satisfactory. The conversation between the parties was considered quite friendly.

Almost two weeks ago, the player had been fined for going to a club during the pandemic and appearing in various records without a mask. At the time, he apologized for the act and was used again by Abel Ferreira.

The coach even praised shirt 18 on Wednesday (25), after Palmeiras beat Delfín (EQU), 3-1, away from home, for the round of 16 of the Copa Libertadores.
