Before that, there are still some administrative steps, said the mayor of the mother community of Tarsdorf, Andrea Holzner, on Thursday the station “OE24”.
The decision of the Tarsdorf municipal council from mid-November was published on the official board of the municipality in the Braunau am Inn district at the beginning of the week.
According to media reports, there have been frequent considerations by the suffering Fuckinger to change their place name in recent years. The village appears on international lists of funny place names, place signs have been stolen again and again. In contrast, some residents used the attention last autumn for symbolic purposes and formed word games with posters with particularly drastic demands around the place-name sign.
